Who prepared Cleanroom Standards?

มาตราฐานในด้านการควบคุมการปนเปื้อน (Contamination control standards) ในอดีตจนถึงช่วงประมาณปี 1990 นั้น เป็นมาตรฐานที่เขียนเพื่อใช้เฉพาะในประเทศที่มีการใช้งานมาก ซึ่งได้แก่ อเมริกา ยุโรป และญี่ปุ่น
ในปี 1998 ได้มีการรวมกลุ่มสมาคมที่ดูแลด้านการควบคุมการปนเปื้อนของแต่ละประเทศ (National contamination control societies) ทั้งหมด 16 ประเทศ จัดตั้งเป็น International Confederation of Contamination Control Societies (ICCCS) ซึ่งมีจุดประสงค์เพื่อสร้างมาตรฐานห้องสะอาดระหว่างประเทศ (International Cleanroom Standards) ซึ่ง ICCCS นั้นเป็นผู้มีส่วนร่วมในการประสานงานเพื่อสร้างมาตรฐาน ISO ในปัจจุบัน
ซึ่งในช่วงเวลานั้นเองหน่วยงานระหว่างประเทศอื่นๆ ได้แก่ ISO, FIP และ WHO รวมถึงหน่วยงานของยุโรป ได้แก่ Eurovent และ PIC ซึ่งครอบคลุม 12 ประเทศ ก็ได้มีการร่างมาตรฐานเกี่ยวกับห้องสะอาดในช่วงนั้นด้วย และได้มีการเปลี่ยนแปลงเนื้อหาส่วนใหญ่ของ contamination control standards ให้มีความสมบูรณ์มากยิ่งขึ้น
